Biblioteca Pública Municipal Hna. María Isaura Cardona Zapata del municipio Labateca, Norte de Santander.
Creada por Acuerdo Municipal 007 en el año 1.983, se creó adscrita a la casa de la cultura ya que por donación de 1.500 libros del Ministerio de Educación Nacional se debía crear. Su primera Bibliotecaria la hoy Licenciada y docente de la I.E. Nuestra Sra de las Angustias la Sra.Laura Marlenne Peñaloza. Por Acuerdo 019/ 2004 se da nombre genérico de Hermana María Isaura Cardona Zapata en homenaje de agradecimiento a las religiosas del Instituto Misionero de Santa Teresita que permaneció en el Municipio por 58 años educando y formando a la niñez y juventud Labatequense.
En el año 2016 se creó por Acuerdo Municipal la Escuela de Formación Artística y cultural en Literatura y escritura, con la cual se ha fortalecido la Biblioteca y se han creado semilleros desde los primeros años, la niñez y adolescencia, promoviendo la lectura y fortaleciendo la gramática y los talleres literarios y demás actividades de creación, composición y desarrollo de textos literarios.
